What is a Webinar? top
A webinar is a seminar done via the web where participants can experience a learning event. There is a scheduled date and time for the event and is conducted LIVE. Through interactive technologies, the participant can attend the webinar at home, office, internet café or anywhere that has an Internet connection.
What is a Lightbulb session? top
ProFora’s Lightbulb sessions are webinars done in a casual but authoritative “talk show” format, wherein an Expert interacts with an Event Host and webinar participants through integrated VoIP, visual tools, polls and presentations. Participants can ask questions through chat or voice (microphone required), or use the system’s drawing tools as necessary.
What do I need to join a webinar or Lightbulb session? top
Our sessions are done online via the web. You will need a desktop or laptop computer that is either Windows or Mac-based that is connected to the Internet. You will also need speakers, though earphones are recommended. To be able to ask questions or interact with the speaker during the webinar, you will need a microphone. For your convenience, we strongly recommend using a USB microphone headset for better audio quality.
What are the system requirements to attend a webinar
or Lightbulb session?

Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer, Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or newer (JavaScript and Java enabled), Safari 3.0 or newer
Windows 2000, XP, 2003 Server or Vista
Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger®) or newer
Cable modem, DSL or broadband Internet connection
Minimum of Pentium class 1GHZ CPU with 512 MB of RAM (2GB of RAM for Windows Vista)
PC Microphone Headset (USB recommended)
Pop-up blockers are disabled or allow all pop-ups
REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE
 
How do I register for a webinar or Lightbulb session? top

Registered members of the ProFora learning community can register for a webinar by clicking on the “Join this Webinar” button. If you have sufficient points, you will be redirected to a registration page to submit the participant’s full name and email address.

Why do I need to submit a participant’s name and email address? top
Each participant has a unique link when they join a webinar. We will send this link through an email address you provide. This includes further instructions on how to join the webinar.
I’ve paid and registered, how do I join a webinar or Lightbulb session? top
The confirmation email you will receive will contain a personal and unique link. Some sessions require a password which you will also find in the email. You can then join the session at the scheduled time by:

1. Clicking the link in the confirmation email.
2. You will be redirected to a page where a Java applet or software that is automatically downloaded and installed.
3. If requested, enter the session password.
4. Once you enter the webinar, you will see the tool’s interface until the Expert starts to share the presentation.

 

Our sessions always start on time. Returning participants can log in 10 minutes before the session. First time participants are encouraged to view the orientation video prior to entering the session. Our Events Specialist is also available one hour before the event to assist you in the use of the technology.
Can I share my link to my friends or colleagues for them
to join the webinar?

As this is a unique link for each participant, it is tied to only one attendee and/or one email address. Once a link is used, it is blocked.
PAYMENT & BILLING
 
How much does each webinar or Lightbulb Session cost? top
A session’s price can vary from PhP 500 to PhP 2,500, depending on the content and Expert we invite.
How do I pay for a webinar or Lightbulb session? top
Registered members can pay online through Gcash, ATM cards, credit cards and Paypal.

You can also opt to deposit your payments by visiting any BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) branch. Bank details as follows:

To confirm payment, you can call us or email transaction details such as the branch and date deposited at billing@proforamedia.com.
What credit cards will you accept? top
We will accept MasterCard, Visa, JCB and American Express cards.
What ATM cards will you accept? top
We will accept ATM cards from any of BancNet’s member banks.
Will I get a refund if cancel my registration? top
As we will offer more webinars in the next few months, we recommend that you choose a different webinar. Another option would be to choose another schedule if the webinar has several dates.

We assure you that your money is not wasted. It will be credited to your account for one (1) year until you decide to choose your next webinar.

HELP & SUPPORT
 
What do I do if I encounter technical difficulties? top
To ensure you are prepared before the session, we have our Events Specialists available 15 minutes before the event to orient first time users and conduct technology tests.  They are also online 30 minutes before on Yahoo Messenger (ID: proforamedia) and Skype (ID: profora).
I registered and paid for a webinar, but I suddenly can’t attend.
What do I do?

You have several options:

IM our Events Specialist through Yahoo Messenger or Skype for assistance.
Give your seat to a colleague or friend to attend on your behalf.
You can use your seat for future sessions. If the session will be repeated over several dates, you can pick a new schedule.
Watch a recorded (streaming) version of the webinar.
Join a different webinar.

 

In any of the above cases, please inform our Events Group through events@proforamedia.com at least 24 hours before said event.
I attended a webinar but I feel it wasn’t as advertised.
Can I get a refund?

ProFora understands that there can be situations where you may feel you did not get your money’s worth. Please send us an email through events@proforamedia.com for the quickest resolution.
I want to give feedback, where can I do this? top
After each webinar, we send out a link of our survey in a follow up email. Please take note that this will expire 7 days after the webinar ends.

You can also send your feedback through our help center.
My question wasn’t answered during the webinar.
Is there a way for me to contact the speaker?
top
During registration, we ask you to submit your questions to the speaker before the event. This is forwarded to the Expert to make sure it is asked during the webinar. Most of the time, the questions have already been answered during the presentation.

 

There are situations where we lack the time to have everyone ask their follow up question/s. You can then email us at events@proforamedia.com and will forward it to the speaker to be answered at his discretion.
Can I suggest a topic or speaker for a webinar or Lightbulb session? top
YES! We encourage our members to submit their suggestions. You can do so by going to our help center. When we launch our official site, you can submit it within your account.
Can I be a speaker in a Lightbulb Session? top
YES! We at ProFora love participation in all aspects of the learning process. If you feel that you have something to teach the world, send us an email at speaker@proforamedia.com with your resume’ and an outline of the topic you’d like to speak on, to start.
How do I get updates (new webinars, etc.)? top
We send out weekly emails to our learning community. To join our mailing list, you can go to our home page and enter your name and email address. Please don’t forget to verify your email address so you don’t miss a beat on our upcoming events.
